Olavshallen

• This is only used as a conference hall. This has a capacity for 30-50 persons depending on the placement of chairs and tables. Olavshallen is readily equipped with whiteboard, overhead, flip-over and “lerret”. There are also two bedrooms connected to Olavshallen which can also be used as group rooms.

Gamle Peisestue

• Gamle Peisestue is situated at the top of the grounds. It has a capacity of 50-60 persons. It has a fully equipped kitchen.

The Dining Hall

• The Dining-Hall has a capacity fo 70-100 persons, depending on the placement of tables and chairs.
  In addition to meals, is can also be used for lectures and conferenses.

Nye Peisestue

• Nye Peisestue is situated in the basement of our main building. It can accomodate up to 50 persons.

Other facilities

• Viubråtan has projector
• The main building has Wireless internet.
• We have large outdoor aread with tables and benches in addition to mobile furniture.
• We have a several large BBQ’s at your disposal.
• There is also a place for campfires outside.

Viubråtan can accomodate most aspects of dining.

When possible we prefer to use short-travelled food. We can prepare meals from our own kitchen, or we use a local caterer.

It is also possible to combine dining in the Dining Hall with dining in your cabins as it is quite possible to prepare food in the cabins.
In the Dining-Hall, the Viubråtan staff prepare and serve all the meals.

The Dining-Hall can accomodate up to a 100 people, while Gamle Peisestue can accomodate up to 60 people.

The floor below the Dining-Hall is Nye Peisestue which is perfect for enjoying a coffe-cup or a meal.

Viubråtan also has a number of large BBQ’s available.

As requests are varied and unique, we ask that you contact us directly if you wish to use our meal-services!

Viubråtan has capacity for 160 persons divided up in cabins, rooms and summer-cabins.
All our all-year cabins and our two houses have names from current and former Framfylkingen departments in Oslo.

Cabins

The cabins vary in size. The largest being 60 kvm. They have beds from 2 to 8 people.
All the cabins have kitchens with cooking-plate (or bedsit-stove) and a refrigerator.

• Bøler, 8 persons
• Oppsal, 4 + 4 persons
• Lilleaker, 4 + 4 persons
• Kjelsås, 8 persons
• Grorud, 4 + 4 persons
• Store Krets, 4 persons
• Hovin, 8 persons
• Lille Krets, 2 persons
• Lørenskog, 4 + 4 persons

Houses

The houses are two-floor houses and can accomodate 20 persons (Kampen) and 14 persons (Sentrum).
Both the houses have large living-areas and kitchens.At the bottom of the page you can view a photo of both Kampen and Sentrum.

Summer cabins

Each of our 6 summer cabins will accomodate up to 5 persons. These cabins are only suitable for use during the summer, end of spring and beginning of the fall as they are not winter isolated.

Rooms

In our main building, Gamle Peisestue and Olavshallen, there are a few rooms which are available for rent.
These rooms will accomodate from 1 to 8 people.

Sanitary facilities

Toilets and showers are available in our main buildings. These are free of charge for our guests.
None of the houses, cabins, rooms or summer cabins have water or toilets.

By car:

• Follow Riksvei 4 north- or south towards Harestua.
  Take the turnoff towards Harestua and follow the signs towards the camping site/Viubråtan. There are no other camping sites in the area.
• GPS-coordinates: 60° 13′ 13.6″ North, 10° 43′ 30.3 East (60.22044 N / 10.72507 E)

By train:

• NSB service Gjøvikbanen. The closest station is Furumo 2 km south of Viubråtan. The train stops at Furumo every other hour. Walking distance to Fuumo is about 25 minutes.
• If you are traveling with a bicycle, Harestua can be a good option. The train stops at Harestua once an hour.
• Viubråtan has a train stop, but this is not normally serviced. To book at trainstop here, you can do theis by contacting NSB Gjøvikbanen. A tainstop will cost 500,- Nok and will have to be paid to NSB directly.
• You can get a detailed time-table for train and buss at Trafikanten.no.

By buss:

• From Oslo Bussterminal in the south and Dokka in the North, you can take buss route 153. The closest buss-stop is Hanakne on Hadelandsveien. Fom here it will be a 900 m walk to Viubråtan.

By taxi:

• Lunner Drosjesentral operates the taxi-service around the Viubråtan area.
